I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2006 and I will never forget the day   the doctor called me and told me what I had. I said “what the heck is Celiac Disease and how do you spell it?” So the journey began to figure out how to live with this disease that has no cure other than a full lifestyle transformation. I would now have to learn what different ingredients were and if they would harm me. I would have to clean out my kitchen cupboard of everything that contained wheat, rye, barley and oats. This was going to be tough. Grocery stores barely carried any GF products at the time which meant I had to learn how to bake – oh my! 6 years later I’m happy to report that I am gluten free and my gliadin numbers (the numbers that tell you if you are a Celiac or not) are non-existant. YAY!! But it is an everyday struggle to change a lifetime of habits.

So I decided to creat this blog to help myself and others make their lives a little easier with recipes that have been converted and resources on where to find products that taste good, and there are some of my very own recipes in here too.  You will also find articles, resources and reviews on anything gluten-free to help you along the way.

I am not trained professionally in cooking or baking, but I love it.  I want you to love it too.  So my goal is to find great food that we can all enjoy and help take the “guess work” out of how to do it.
